I Forget.

How far would you go to redeem yourself? How far would you go to earn that love once banished? How far would you look to find the reasons you had, and never consider them again?

Welcome to another rant.

It's been one of the most eventful years of my life, and I don't know how or why, but I learnt quite a few things. And I'd share them with you if I knew how to.

There are things I would have taken back, or some that I would wish could be taken back. I wish I could take back things for other people, because their suffering reveals the ugliness in me.

How much better would it have been if I could help, if I could assist someone through their hurt. Does change affect people that much? Can we stop change from affecting us? Can we change the results of change?

Doves with twisted wings. Love with twisted promises. Misery with twisted outcomes; usually change.

Have you ever wondered about this thing called regret? No, neither have I, and I regret not grabbing the opportunities I had, not accepting things I could have.

Can we get those chances back? Can we try and ask for one more answer, just one, and question ourselves?

Would we dare to?

Love is a great maze. The people in it are lost. And their only exit is the entrance.

But some stay in the maze. Not quitting. Braving the pain of despair. And their exit, is the exit.

Love until forever.

A promise thats promised. Half of them are lies.

All lies.

And inconsideration to the hurt. Pain wearing a mask of depression. Pain and depression.

But no-one notices the joy. The short-lived joy that comes so often, and yet, it's not enough. And when you begged time to fly, in anticipation of a great event, you would never notice the regret you would have in the future.

And still, no-one notices the joy. The little verbal errors people make in everyday conversation, the little words that make someone's day, the fun you have when you fall down when you play football, when you trip over your own tricks, when you dance away your misery, when you laugh when no-one hears you.

No-one notices the joy.

When depressions come, they come at once, they hit you in the chest. But never should you allow them to change you.

Which is my biggest regret this year.

However, there have been many things I don't regret, and I'm very thankful for. My arms, my legs, my parents, my home.

But what never struck me was the loss I would have to face, in the loss of one of these things, and fear has overriden the hope, which is another regret I have this year.

The wind took me away.

Bounties of regret, bounties of pain, bounties of love, bounties of joy, condensing into memory.

How far would you go to redeem yourself? How far would you go to earn that love once banished? How far would you look to find the reasons you had, and never consider them again?

Another Conclusion

Well, I think I need constructive criticism on this one. I think I feel it sucks. So with your help, I can make it better. Please?

-------

I looked for meaning.
I found tragedy.
Behind these lines of ignorance
Lies the hate and malice you breed.

An incomplete sigh.

I arched in trust.
And I don't deplore.

Be steady,
And prepare yourself for war.

Contort your disbelief.
Soak the walls with your spite, not me.

A concealed storm.
Everyday.
We fight.

-------

Yes, it does suck. But whatever, I need your constructive criticism.

PLEASE.

EDITED: I have taken various criticisms, and turned the poem into what I think would fit the meaning I had in mind.

----

In shadowed iniquity.
An incandescent light.
Encompassed in menace.
A diffusion of white.

Seek a meaning.
A determined tragedy.
Behind these lines of ignorance
Lies the malice they breed.

Arch in trust.
But don't deplore.
Work with sincere truth.

Be steady,
Be firm,
And prepare yourself for war.

Contort your disbelief.
Soak the walls with your spite, not me.

And sheath your swords,
Dawn hasn't broken.

A concealed storm.
Everyday.
We fight.

An incomplete sigh.
Earthed in the mud of promise.

A Guide to Day 1 Of Dubai Desert Rock 2007

Ok. March 9th 2007. Dubai Country Club. Be there or be square. Or humanoid.

The greatest Desert Rock to be organized by CSM, I am NOT going to miss this one, unlike me, being the lazy fat-ass that I am, missing Megadeth. I feel like shooting myself =(

OKAY then, the point of this post. The bands? Be shocked. IRON MAIDEN are headlininginging. !!!!!!! . (Note the three 'ings') This post is just to guide you on the way to liking these bands, and I shall give you a list of songs by each band for you to download, which you better. :P

Oh wait, by the way, something the pilot-vocalist of Iron Maiden had to say about coming here. (From www.blabbermouth.net)

"This is certainly something new to us as I don't believe anyone from the band has ever played here at all, so we're all really looking forward to this. We all enjoy touring where we've always had fantastic support but there is something always a bit special about playing to new fans in a part of the world you'd never really expected to play. It certainly looks and sounds like a great festival and lineup and I'm already planning a special Bruce Air trip out for this one, which will be amazing I'm sure."

YAY! Okay, back to the topic (for the millionth time)

JUNKYARD GROOVE: A brilliant band from our very own India. Such a different genre, such a different touch to their music. A must for every music-lover. Now your p2p clients won't detect any sources with this band, so I must give you their websites. And what you must do, in turn, is listen to every song they have. Look out for "It's Okay" and "Folk You". Brilliant songs.

Their "Purevolume"
(www.purevolume.com) site.

Their MySpace (www.myspace.com),
with a few more songs.

LAUREN HARRIS: Iron Maiden has a bassist. Iron Maiden's bassist's name is Steve Harris. Steve Harris' daughter's name is Lauren Harris, and she's been opening all their shows. I didn't really take the time to listen to her, but I know you can on her myspace.

http://www.myspace.com/laurenharrisuk

CHILDREN OF BODOM: Oh, what a band. Fronted by none other than hyper-famous-Finnish-guitar-screamo-vocals-dude Alexi Laiho. And don't ask me what's so great about him, download one of Children of Bodom's songs, friendly to your p2p program. (Ares, Limewire, Kazaa, whatever you use) and listen to the guitar-work. Brilliant.

Here's a list of songs for you to download:

Hate Me!
Lake Bodom
Needled 24/7
Angels Don't Kill
Children of Bodom (Yes, it's a song)
Everytime I Die
Hatebreeder
Sixpounder
Downfall
Bed of Razors
Follow the Reaper
In Your Face
Trashed, Lost and Strungout

Have fun downloading. Each song is brilliant in their own way.

IN FLAMES: The main event for me, one of my all-time favourite bands. I love every song of theirs and what you should look out for are the captivating guitar melodies and solos. Brilliant band with brilliant songs. A must for any fan of metal. Not saying that you are, but they are amazing anyway.

Here's a list of songs for you to download:

Trigger
Artifacts of the Black Rain
Take This Life
Cloud Connected
Only For The Weak
The Quiet Place
My Sweet Shadow
Leeches
Gyroscope
Reroute to Remain
Come Clarity
Clad in Shadows
December Flower
The Hive

I hope you like them. I love them.

MASTODON: More of an underground band, meaning not many people know about them. But heck are they intense. I discovered this band off a poster I got in a poster book, and I got to downloading them. The drummer is one of the best I have EVER EVER heard. How does he play so damn well? Well, it's hearing is believing this time. I haven't heard many songs by them, only a good handfull, so this list won't be too long.

Here's a list of songs for you to download (Again) :

Blood and Thunder
March of the Fire Ants
Iron Tusk (According to me, their best song, and it's BRILLIANT!)
Where Strides The Behemoth
Elephant Man
Aqua Dementia
Naked Burn
Megalodon
Burning Man
Sleeping Giant
Seabeast
Trilobite
The Wolf is Loose
This Mortal Soil
Workhorse

Have fun :D

STONE SOUR: Another brilliant band. Though I like their newer stuff as compared to their older stuff, being not too old, and their slower stuff is definately better than their faster stuff. What's so great about them? Again, hearing is believing. Corey Taylor and Jim Root of Slipknot are in this band. I didn't believe it. Corey is the lead singer of both bands, and he shows such diversity. Good job.

Here's ANOTHER list of songs for you to download:

Through Glass
Bother
30/30 - 150 (Thanks Aparna)
Orchids
Blue Study
Inhale
Get Inside (Sorry Aparna :P)
Omega
Cold Reader

Not many, because I haven't heard much of their songs.

And last, but DEFINATELY, DEFINATELY, DEFINATELY, not the least..

IRON BLOODY MAIDEN

IRON MAIDEN

IRON MAIDEN

IRON MAIDEN

IRON MAIDEN

MY DREAM COME TRUE!!!

MY EX-FAVORITE BAND (Now my 4th favorite)

IRON MAIDEN

IRON MAIDEN

IRON MAIDEN

Who are they? They're a band who's been around for ages (since 1980) and theyre STILL alive and KICKING MAJOR METAL ASS. I started listening to them a year ago, and I'm still their #1 fan.

With 25 albums and thousands of epic songs, Iron Maiden is a role model for any aspiring metalhead. Known as the 'gods' of heavy metal, they have been producing brilliant songs after amazing songs after classic songs. Expect a huge list.

I have 3-4 of their albums, and when I listen to them, I make sure it's around 4-5 times. I've heard almost ALL their songs, which is a great feat :) and I love every single one of them. From the ancient Prowler to the 2006 The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg, I could never stop loving them.

I can't forget their infamous mascot Eddie, who features on every album cover as the hero of the album's theme. From a cyborg to an army soldier to a pharaoh to a cloudhead, he is the trademark of Iron Maiden.

Iron Maiden has released a game called Ed Hunter, which I didn't miss, and it's a '92 shoot-'em-up type game with brilliant graphics for a game of its era.

They've changed lineups several times, but only lead guitarist Dave Murray and bassist Steve Harris have stayed loyal to the band, and I'm very thankful for that.

The lyrics are original, and many band follow in their footsteps. They've set the bar HIGH.

I don't mean to be a drag, but these guys are classic and I FINALLY get to see them. I love them.

A list?

Prepare to be shocked.

Run to the Hills
Blood Brothers
Different World
The Nomad
Out of the Silent Planet
Transylvania

Yes, have fun, and I know none of you are going to sit and download all of these songs, but whenever you need something to download, come and visit here.

Oh, and something frontman Bruce Dickinson has said about visiting Dubai that has got me on edge. Again:

"Iron Maiden have announced that they will be headlining the DESERT ROCK
FESTIVAL in Dubai on Friday 9th March 2007. The supporting bill for this day is
currently The Prodigy as Special Guests plus Stone Sour, In Flames, Mastodon,
Children of Bodom, Lauren Harris and Junkyard Groove . This will be the fourth
Desert Rock Festival in Dubai since it started in 2004 and it will take place at
the Dubai Country Club. Tickets will be made available from the official Desert
Rock Festival website - desertrockfestival.com - where full details of the festival
and site can be found. Says manager Rod Smallwood 'Maiden have always enjoyed
and been prepared to visit and play in new parts of the World and this is
certainly no exception. We expect to take the full European stage Production and
as its our first time there. We will adjust the set to include more of the
favourites these fans wont have heard live before along with selected tracks
from our new album 'A Matter of Life and Death' which has been very successful
in Arabia with a Top 5 Chart entry. As this tour has been so much fun we may even add a couple more special shows in mid-March so watch this space' Adds
Bruce Dickinson 'This is certainly something new to us as I don't believe anyone
from the band has ever played here at all so we're all really looking forward to
this. We all enjoy touring where we've always had fantastic support but there is
something always a bit special about playing to new fans in a part of the world
you'd never really expected to play. It certainly looks and sounds like a great
festival and line up and I'm already planning a special BruceAir trip out for
this one which will be amazing I'm sure. We're just getting to the end of whats
been a brilliant year for all of us and we've had a fantastic reaction to the
tour throughout and we 'd like to thank all the fans for their support on the
album and the tour. It's been incredible.' Details of the Bruce Air three day
trip out to Dubai and the Desert Rock Festival will be posted tomorrow, Friday
22nd December on seegigs.co.uk"

Have fun downloading, and I hope to see as many of you at Dubai Desert Rock 2007 as possible.

Metal day, March 9th, 2007, is gonna be AWESOME! And I'm going to sit and learn EVERY song I've posted here on guitar, when I have the time, that's how obsessed I am.

UP THE IRONS!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank CSM for organizing such a greatly-anticipated day, so, THANK YOU CSM!!!!

And since I've taken about 3 hours doing research and typing out this post, you BETTER COMMENT!

Another Case of Writer's Block.

Firstly, I do not classify myself as a writer, but I do, nonetheless write, and am subject to this severe case of writer's block. And I'm telling you this. It's bad. Unable to draw inspiration from the most inspiring things, unable to express emotion in what I love, unable to do anything that comes even remotely close to writing, it just sucks.

Now all of you must be wondering why on this crap-society-writer's-block-infested earth I would be caring about writer's block when I don't classify myself as a writer. And the answer is this : I am a writer, even though a sucky one, but a writer nonetheless. And writer's block just gets on my nerves.

I wonder how many of you writers have been a victim of this merciless disease, and to those who were and are, I pity you. Yes, self-pity is a crime, but it's better than writer's block. Which is currently getting worse and worse and worse. And I'm telling you this. I HATE IT!

All those who DON'T have it, consider yourself lucky, and I'm going to end this post right here, right now, because writer's block is limiting my creativity and imagination.

Lucky you.

PS. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!! I LOVE YOU AND GOD BLESS!!

Wednesday, December 13

Oh please don't leave.

And then there was the 12th grade batch of 2006-2007. And what a spectacular one.

This post is not a post.
This post isn't for the blog or for me.

It's a dedication, a tribute, to every single 12th grader.

Why? Why do good things always come to an end? This was probably the best thing thats EVER happened to the school....

And it's almost gone. What do we do? What do we say? We've learnt SO much from you, we've learnt SO MUCH from all of you, really, and as cliched as it may sound, I don't give a shit, words can't describe it.

Thank you, never say goodbye, hope to see you again... those words are all I can say, but I don't know if they mean anything. They do, to me, but what about you? And you? And you?

I suppose I will never be them but I can try to be like them.

And I will try.

How do you accept change? How do you accept things that you just don't want to accept?

It's a must. It's inevitable.
(Yes, I'm sorry for stealing this from you.)

How do you manage, when a major source of inspiration, isn't there anymore?

How?

Why?

It's a shame really.
How I wish things were different.
But those are just wishes.

At the end of it all, all we can do is accept it. And move on.
(Sorry again)

If words could describe what I want to say, there'd be no end to this dedication.

But they can't.

So I end, for fear of being "not worthy" (haha! sorry again), and that these words won't be fit.

So I end by saying thank you.

And I, we, love you.

Les Yamakasi et Parkour

Birds fly and so do Aeroplanes and now….....So do humans.
The Yamakasi are a group of practitioners of the sport of l'art du déplacement.....

Have you ever seen some really crazy stunts in certain movies and have you said “Dude,That’s like totally fake , How can a guy jump from building to building without getting hurt???etc.”.

Well if u did do so you’re wrong, you probably saw Les Yamakasi at work….Some of the coolest stunts on earth I have ever seen have been performed by the Yamakasi and I felt they had to be included in one of the posts in my blog / our blog (Kapil and I).
This is the Double post I was talking about......

Watch and learn. Actually, don't learn.

There, is genius. That is how the stunts you have seen are performed.
We shall take "James Bond: Casino Royale" as an example.
The beginning scene, the one with people jumping around from crane to building, from building to building...
THAT is what a Yamakasi does.

Spectacular isn't it?

But wait. This is reality. Reality, originated from dreams.

My point being: anything is possible, when you have Faith.

And that's where inspiration is drawn from. But still, I beg: NONE OF YOU TRY IT AT HOME!

Now, all of you people say, if man was born to fly, he would've been given wings. But here, wings are a state of mind.
THESE wings, are a state of self-confidence, self-assurance, and hope. And if you want to sprout wings,
just believe.

Look at it this way. Practice makes perfect, but thoughts lead to practice.

Practice what you preach, and you certainly will not be disappointed.

Wings of Poesy

Okay. I found a poem that I deeply love. Deeply. It's so touching. Only because you can interpret it anyway you feel like. That's what I love best about poems. The abstractness. The power the words deliver, hitting you in the chest, and actually liking it. It belongs to a song called 'Disconnecktie' by my all-time second favorite band called Norma Jean. I don't know if you should give it a try though. It's hardcore metal, with such an emotional touch to it. Try it if you want. No harm done. You MUST read this lyric.

It's taken me 50,000 separate wrecks to get here,
And I've learned absolutely
nothing.
As I'm standing here alone, upright and motionless,
I'm drowning
in her sea.
The rising and sinking of every consciousness I've ever
known.
Now detached and disconnected.
The endless cycle of idea and
action,
Endless invention, endless experiment, endless hope and endless
disappointment.
And I thought all I needed was just one breath to stay
afloat.
For me it was like... like the breath, the last breath, the last
breath
that I never wanted.
Any of this.

I'm moving
forward.
I never thought that this would capsize,
But this isn't a boat,
it's a coffin!
And now I'm moving forward.

Into the sea... into
the great sea.
So I begin with the end in mind.
The cycles of heaven, 20
centuries gone by, come home.

I've fallen three miles now... and I
still can't shake this dragon,
But the end is coming like a flood.
It is
going to be a year for growing and the greatest amount of
forgetting.
My sea is dying, but death is a doorway.
And at the
very root of me I know this.
It's the greatest reminder.
What a broad
world to roam in, what a sea to swim in, so I begin with the
end in
mind.

"Disconnecktie : The Faithful Vampire"
-Norma Jean

How do you like it? Comment. Because I think it's brilliant. And you should too. Thank you.\

Nishant.

Sunday, December 3

Thanking you.

A wonder. You capture my emotion so fluently. You allow me to pour my feelings into your essence. You hurt me, yet never emotionally, you let me be the cause of your change. Your being. You throw your comfort and safety into my hands. You throw your music, into my hands. Anger. Love. Distress. Despair. Anything I need to let out, you let me let it into you. Countless ballads, countless songs, all etched from the magic you give my fingertips.

Thank you for your permission. Thank you for your carefree ways. Thank you for giving me your being, thank you for trusting me. Thank you for letting me let out, thank you for ignoring my cliches. Thank you for the harmony, thank you for the melody, you selflessly let into the air. Just like the words we long to be heard, are your hopes for your music to be recognized. Through me.

Thank you for allowing me to dedicate this to you, I thank you for all the emotion I've poured into you. My only fan. Thank you for the time you've spent on me, thank you for forgetting my harms.

I don't know what to say anymore, so I guess I'll just pick you up. Hold you in my arms. I'll let you trust me, I hope I don't cause any damage to you. Ugly as I may be, I still thank you.

My guitar.

HOW??

OK, this is for everyone. You MUST see this.

And if you thought that was weird, there are replies as well :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvvEs6S3c4g
and
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGT7LzgVTJ8

The latter being only a picture, though. Or that's what it seemed like.

Anyway, have fun picking up your jaws from the ground.

Nishant.

Nothing in particular

It's late at night, or early in the morning, whatever, and I have nothing else to do. I thought it would be a pleasant idea to let out whatever I feel, or I don't feel, and make YOU suffer my rantings.

No that wasn't intended. I'm not going anywhere, and I don't think I need to go anywhere. What about you? Have you got anywhere? Many people have. Many haven't. Some just don't know what's going on. Some just don't know.

Ever felt confused? Ever felt lost? Wouldn't it have been much better if we KNEW the perfect place to get lost, and even if we do, actually end up lost RIGHT there? And I don't mean lost, as in physically lost. Yeah, emotions do get the better of me nowadays.

I don't know what I'm saying, because satisfaction doesn't feel the same anymore, because I know that if I got everything that troubles me off my chest, I'd be satisfied. But I don't feel happy anymore, I don't feel sad, I don't feel troubled, I don't feel free.

Maybe it's a stage that all of us go through.

Maybe it isn't.

Maybe some of us know where to go, but don't want to.

Maybe we should give others a chance.

Maybe we should do all things right.

Maybe we should let all things be as they are.

Sometimes not knowing what to do is essential. Sometimes we miss being hurt. Sometimes your hopes are realized. Sometimes you feel so good, you never want to let the feeling go. But in a second, like it or not...

It's gone.

There's a hole in my cup. There's a leak in the bottle, and everything's falling on the ground. Falling on the ground. There's a hole in my cup, there's a breach in the system, and everything's coming out. Everything's coming out. Everything's being spilt out, everything's coming out. There's a hole in my cup, and everything's falling out.

----

Sometimes, there comes into the air, a familiar fragrance, that lingers there, waiting for you to realize that you know that scent, waiting for you to figure out from where, and it always hits you in the spot.

There are times when words can't portray what you want to say.
There are times when joys can cause pain.
There are times when you cant help using cliches.
There are times when differences are similarities and there are times when you know not what is happening. Because you like it. Because it's what you want.

I don't know how many of you can relate to my monotonous speech, and I don't know how many of you even care. But all I know is this: Love is in the air.

And no, that wasn't supposed to rhyme.

Dubai Rocks!!!!

Ah, the overjoyness.

The cause? Dubai Desert Rock 2007.

An event that all of us rock-minority people look forward to, even though I din't get to go this year. I MISSED MEGADETH!!! How? I don't know. I heard that it was a success , and if THAT was a success, I wonder what next year's would be.

Want to know why?

A TWO-DAY EVENT!!!! March 9-10. Featuring? Okay I can't help but use the upper case. INCUBUS!!! CHILDEN OF BODOM!!! PRODIGY!!! PRIME CIRCLE!!! And the best part? 8 more bands to come. Including the headliners. I hope you board guys can make it.

Yes, that does mean that they are going to be bigger and better bands. And I don't want to miss this show. Neither should you. Because this is going to be one big ride.

EDIT: IN FLAMES HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE LIST!!! WOOHOO! GO CSM!!!! They are NOTthe headliners! GO CSM!!!! 7 more to go!!!!!

EDIT: STONE SOUR ANd MASTODON!!!! CSM ARE THE BEST!!! HEADLINERS STILL TO BE ANNOUNCED!

Monday, November 13

And they won!!!!

A uniquely good morning, it was, as I queued up late for Assembly as my bus hadn't arrived on time. Full of high expectations, I just couldnt wait for our Principal to announce that our football team was going to play in the finals of the 22nd Our Own Inter-School Football Tournament. And as soon as he did, I made sure I clapped the loudest, which obviously, I didn't :(
Anyway, as Assembly ended, I was frantically trying to spot all those students wearing their black football jerseys, and made my way to "best-of-luck" them. After a short period of well-wishing, I unfortunately, had to make my way to class. Which wasn't too bad after all, because we got more than 1, (2) periods of football!! Ironically, for the period that was ACTUALLY p.e., Mr.Senior-Supervisor concocted some weird reason for us not to go, at least I learned SOME literature during that period, courtesy Mr.ChubbyEnvironmentalGuy. At break, I went to Mr.Senior-Supervisor's Office, where he informed me that at half time, our very own DMHS football team was winning, 2-0!!!!

Ah, the overjoyness.

Anyway, periods came and went, with our minds only on the one thing, the match. Teachers screaming for us to stand up STILL didn't burst our bubble, yes, I know, strange.

The last period. History. And some weird quiz-like-thing that Mr.H'sHistory had created, and patented, last semester. "Sir, can I go to the Admin Block to ask Mr.AdminOfficer something? "

"No"

The last five minutes - "Sir, can I PLEASE go to the Admin Block to ask Mr.AdminOfficer something?"

"Come back soon"

Outside the classroom. In Mr.Senior-Supervisor's Office. "Sir, are there buses to Rashidya?"

"Let me call Mr.AdminOfficer."

"Ok"

He dials the number, and then puts the phone back on the hook.

He rushes outside, and what do I see?

A smiling Mr.Captain, and a smiling Mr.GuitarBoy, and a smiling Mr.PegasusHouseViolinist. And me, smiling. Yes, of course, I couldn't see myself. But I could feel it.

True champions, walking through the gym corridor, giants in their shoes, dirty with stains of victory. The first word that came to my mind? Congratulations. The second? Relief. Third? Happiness. That was probably the first time I felt so happy. For them, our football team. Giants in their shoes. The score? 4-1. A "trouncing". Congratulations.

Our football team, with so many 12th graders, probably their last tournament in this school, their dedication, the time they put into it, the effort, the pain.

And they won.

A Story I Wrote.

CHANCE

“This place is so damp, so dark and so creepy! How long will we be residing in this hole?” Jordan stared at his shoes, now encompassed by the murky, swampy soil that seemed to thrive on this part of the world. Longing for his answer, he looked up at the sky, seeing the first star of the night shine as bright as it could. He seemed to drift away from his path, just thinking about why this world couldn’t be perfect, or at least close to it. The star his only guiding light, other than his conscience, he suddenly woke up from his dream of conditions, at the sound of his companion, educating him that they were now lost. Strangely calm for this sort of situation, his peace of mind came from his understanding that without modernization, man would have probably been lost, like he was now, but on a more permanent basis. Clessidra Avenue, one out in the wilderness and particularly close to the ocean, was only home to a few residents, and these were mainly the people who had a knack for adventure, and more importantly, loved it.
Jordan, after quite a few hours of idleness, took out a compass from his backpack, and start marching on the path originally intended. Ironically, Nick, the only friend in this part of the world did not say anything about his late wisdom. It seemed like the rest was well needed, especially because they’ve been walking for more than half the day. The moon was out now, and he could see quite clearly, as he was nearing civilization. Street lights now loomed in the distance, and he and his friend carried out quite an entertaining conversation.
“Nick,” he said, “why do we change?” “I really don’t know, Jordan, I don’t,” came the reply, not exactly what he was looking for though. An hour or two later, they approached a dusty door belonging to a large, large house. After a series of weary knocks, the door opened with a creaky groan, revealing the shadow of a lady. A muffled “welcome ‘ere, boys, what’s taken you so long?” came in the disguise of a crispy, unpolished tone, just like that of the door. After settling in, sitting on the edge of the bed of Jordan’s room, there was another knock on the door, this one more easy, and untroubled. “Come on down, children,” said the lady of the house, a Mrs. McKrason. There stood in the doorway, illuminated by a beam of moonlight, a man dressed in black. “Here,” resonated the crisp voice of Mrs. McKrason, “Is your brother.”
After what seemed like hours, but actually only a matter of minutes, of staring at each other, observing each little detail that took form of either the clothes they wore, or the shape of their faces, came a whisper. “Hey…. I guess I’m your brother,” was a crunch voice, belonging to Jordan, strikingly resembling that of the woman standing in the shadows. He was answered with a nod, and taking a few steps forward, he shut the door, and proceeded up the stairs into the deserted room by the balcony. After a silent debate, in which the motion was whether to follow him or not, he gradually ascended up the stairs, to the room on the left of the staircase.
He entered, to see his brother, by the name of Cliff, sitting on the bed, staring at the clock. “A stoic, are you?” asked Jordan, hoping this answer wouldn’t be unanswered like many of his others. “No, just tired,” came the answer. “Yeah, me too,” replied Jordan, and he walked a broken walk back to his room.
He lay on his bed, and reminisced the thoughts of the day’s incidents, carefully placing his brother in his list of priorities. “You know,” came Nick’s careful voice, “your brother was never like this. I’ve known him for quite some time now.”
All the tiredness that once enveloped Jordan suddenly vanished, and in a tone of angry alarm, he shouted “And you never told me? Why? Why?” Unlike other times, he didn’t want an answer, but was unavoidably followed by one. “I didn’t know he was your brother until now. I didn’t, really. I’m sorry, but I didn’t. I hope you don’t remain angry at me for a very long time, but he was one of my really good friends in school. All of a sudden, he changed, drastically, and he never spoke to anyone convincingly since.” Jordan stared at the floor, observing the carefree movements of the ant, seeming to be in a hurry. A tear rolled down his face, and a disgruntled “no” escaped from his sticky mouth.
The night rolled away like a movie, and the sun dawned, drying the stains of Jordan’s tears. The sunlight penetrated his eyelids and woke him up, arresting him in a state of consciousness. It was time to make his way back, and as much as he regretted not talking to his brother, his every-weekend vacation had inevitably come to an end, and he packed his bags, drawing the two twin zips together, securing safety.
He sat down at the table, and picked at his breakfast. A plate of eggs and bacon, it provided no entertainment for this day, or refugee to his previous night. His brother cut away from his bed sheet, and made his way to the table. He sat beside Jordan, and muttered something that sounded like “Sorry.” Jordan looked at him, swallowed what he was chewing, and said nothing. He finished eating his breakfast, and after his relief of nourishment, he made his way back up the stairs to collect his belongings.
The clouds started to unroll, and the day grew darker. His bag in his hand, he sat once more on the edge of his bed, in the confines of the four walls he wasn’t so used to seeing. Staring at the floor he WAS used to seeing, he decided that this world couldn’t be perfect, not with the existence of man. Mistakes are easily converted to habits, and that’s how it is. The rhythm of our lives is our Faith, without which this world would seem nothing but empty. Our world revolves around the sun, not us, and it never will. His words seemed full only to himself, and the sun beat on his head through the glass window in the corner of his weekend room.
He stared at the floor for a few more minutes, and got up from the bed. Suitcase in hand, he walked down the worn out stairs now so familiar to him. The base creaked under the added weight of his suitcase, and the door opened without a sound. He stared at the sky, waiting for answers to questions he hadn’t asked yet. His eon long venture into the depths of the house now behind him passed in a matter of days. The strangeness blinded him in the form of the rays of the now overhead sun.
A thought suddenly struck him, and he ran back into the house. He ran up to the balcony-suite room and banged loudly. There came no answer. He banged once more, ignoring the confused shouts of Mrs. McKrason below. The door opened silently, led by a hand that belonged to Cliff. He stared into his eyes, and Jordan suddenly asked, “Why do we change?” Cliff stared back at him, and then looked at the floor. After a few minutes of careful thinking, there came an answer.
“That’s the question I’ve been asking for years. There is no answer. There is no answer.”
With that, he closed the door, and Jordan made his way back on to the pastures of mud, seemingly peaceful.
A few hours later, there came a sign. It read, “Thank you for visiting Clessidra Avenue. The ever-changing Avenue. Your Avenue.”

Good Evening. Who's given it to you?

There lies upon my desk, a book. A book that knows all of my secrets, all of my passions, my tales, my comforts, my discomforts.

Yet. Yet, it knows nothing at all.

It's just like a friend, you know? Talk to it, tell it all your deepest, darkest, secrets. It just listens patiently. (No, I'm not crazy.) It just listens patiently. Like the walls. The walls we're so used to seeing everyday.

Except the walls forget.

There are things these well, things, cannot do. They do not even come close to what a companion can do. When do you usually laugh? When do you usually sing? Dance? Who do you trust? Who trusts you? Certainly no book. Certainly no wall.

Contradiction. There's no-one who knows all my secrets. No-one who knows what I'm feeling, or what it's about, who it's about. No-one can see behind my laughter.

Except God.

Here is a Companion. A Companion you can trust. A Companion you can laugh with, sing with, trust, share your secrets with. No-one compares to God. No-one. Nothing at all, compares to His Trust, His Grace. Nothing.

All I want to say is this. Why do we neglect the very Person we get our life from? Why? Make it a daily appointment. Do not miss it. Talk to God. Tell Him of your worries.

Just remember. God is listening to you.

The Flight Of The Budgerigar.

Today. Today was an unfortunate, miserable little day in the Mehrotra house. What seemed to be fine morning turned into a disastrous one, in a matter of careless seconds. My parents went out to do some grocery shopping, and I opted to stay at home. Mistake #1. It was nearing lunch time, and I had the leftovers of the pizza we ordered last night. I carried my plate to the bedroom, to eat and surf the computer at the same time. Mistake #2. I finished eating my lunch. I was carrying my plate to the sink. I dropped it in and took out my EVS textbook to do some studying. Mistake #3. On the way to the bedroom, I knocked down the bird's cage accidentally, and one of my birds flew out the open cage door. I started to panic. It flew into the living room. I called my parents and asked them to come home as soon as possible. Which was a difficult thing because it was peak hour and there was so much traffic. I tried holding it in my palm, which I succeeded to do, but when I brought it near the cage, it struggled and set itself free. It flew into the blacony window. She managed to well, manage and flew and it collided into the wall. Slam! into the window. Slam! into the wall. Slam! into the window until I let it be. I examined its forehead and noticed that it was bleeding. Just then my mother walked in the door, and she tried her hand at trying to catch Tweety. One more collision, one more and then finally, we managed to put it back in the cage. A few minutes later, my father entered and suggested that we let it rest. The house was a mess. Feathers and seeds, all over the room. We took it to the vet around 20 minutes later, and the veterinarian(sp?), A Dr.Wolfgang Lebeich from Germany, had a check up, and said it would be ok. He assigned some antibiotics to be put into the water that they drink, and said it should be ok in a matter of 4-6 days. At least I hope so. At the moment, my mother is trying to make it drink some water, at least to ease the pain. I hope Tweety will be alright. Until then, please, please Pray.

To begin before it ends.

Allow me to introduce you. To my blog. Hello, and welcome. It is a pleasure to see that you voluntarily ventured into this blog, which I could say is relatively new, and that you took the time to read what I have to say, although it may be a load of gibberish to you. I may not be able to update this blog too often, because my school, our school, has its mid-term examinations quite soon. Just less than a fortnight away, I hope to do well, and to all in my school, and to all sitting for any examinations at all, best of luck. I take this opportunity to wish the best of luck to our school's football team, taking part in a tournament which will be probably the last for many in our team. My hope is on your side.

School. Probably the most fun thing going on in many of our lives. I enjoy it, truly. And it is difficult to see the schooling days of what has been this school's best seniormost batch gradually decline. The amount they have contributed to the school, the amount of their sweat that has dropped on our quadrangle, auditorium, field... really, it's amazing. This tragic loss will be very easily noticed, and I doubt there is much the school can do to repair it. Congratulions, 12th grade batch 2006-2007, congratulations.

Well I guess I have made a fairly okay introduction to my blog, and I hope I can keep it alive. Keep visiting. There's much I wish to share.
