Inspiration.

Inspiration is a fountain, a well from where you draw your imagination. It is a spring from where you relish yourself. It is the shallow pool where you bathe to relax yourself. It is the the minerals that you drink to quench your thirst.

It is the nutrients you obtain from your food to sustain yourself. It is the ground on which you trod to balance yourself. It is the trees under which you sit to shade yourself. It is the coal of the fire of your dreams.

Inspiration is the blanket you draw across yourself to shield yourself from the bitter, cold reality of dawn.

Isn't that just like you, Nishant? Only you can take inspiration from Inspiration itself. And i agree with you wholeheartedly.
I specially agree with
"Inspiration is a fountain, a well from where you draw your imagination"

Yes.

Good going.:)

Juhi, I completely agree with the 'draw inspiration from inspiration'.

"Inspiration is the blanket you draw across yourself to shield yourself from the bitter, cold reality of dawn."

WOW!

Once again, awesome Nishant!

Inspiration is reading a worthy thought,
and envying all the words.

Inspiration is the canvas and the paint,
and the picture worth a thousand words.

Inspiration is vast open plains without the fences and the walls.

Inspiration ..
Ispiration is Kermit the frog.
Guess who?

Hmm... inspiration. How can we define that?

Is it a person?

Is it an experience?

Is it a piece of art?

What inspires us?

Life is full of trials. Writing blocks. Obstacles. Inspiration picks us up when we fall and gives us the sustenance to try again, humbled, renewed.

I love the sentence-
"It is the coal of the fire of your dreams"

Hey Nishant,

A weird blog entry. It's as if you are trying too hard. Initially you make sense - "Inspiration is a fountain, a well from where you draw your imagination."

But after that, I couldn't relate to most of your metaphors. Inspiration doesn't "relax" me. Inspiration drives me. I guess everyone has different ways of looking at different things, like well, inspiration. But if your readers can't relate, then the entry loses its purpose. Fine it's a jumble of good language, interlaced with what appear to be stirring metaphors, but I can't make heads or tails of most of them.

Anyway a good try, but the only constructive criticism I can give you is that when you write stuff, make sure you know that you are making sense, and you can substantiate what you've written.

Btw I was really impressed with ur music knowledge yesterday at DDRF. And I heard that Incubus rocked the kasbah too, anwyay I needed to study!

He didn't say it didn't make sense, he said he couldn't relate. Some people can. So PAH!

Oh and contrary to what others may say.. I liked this. More than the others anyway.
